Helping students to thrive and flourish during their time at Loyola and beyond is the priority of the Center. Through a variety of campus resources, students will be able to identify areas for support and growth, as well as encouragement and visibility. A listing of academic, as well as identity and wellness resources is available to all students.

To enrich students academically, the Thrive Center offers programs and initiatives that foster intellectual curiosity, challenge them to think from diverse perspectives, and help them attain scholastic success.
ACE Workshops Scholarships Internships
Academic Coaching
Students will be guided through a process in which they will identify academic challenges, set goals, and discuss strategies to achieve success. We offer individual sessions for students who need to develop better organizational and learning strategies as well as refer to on-campus resources.

First-Year Programs
First-year students experience all kinds of personal, academic, social, and financial changes and challenges during their transition to college. Thrive Center wants to make that transition a positive experience! Find a program that will help you not just enjoy your first year, but to build the resources and skills you need to succeed.
Identity and Wellness Resources
- Campus Ministry - provides opportunities for LGBTQ+ students to explore their faith and spirituality while offering LGBTQ-centered resources across a multitude of faith traditions. Campus Ministry collaborates with LGBTQ+ Student Services and The Counseling Center in bringing students each year to the IgnatianQ Conference.
- The Counseling Center – offers identity-affirming services by experienced professionals who can help students explore many different concerns with a range of in-person and telehealth services to meet their mental health needs.
- In, Out, and In-Between Group – a group for LGBTQPIA+ students of all backgrounds to confidentially discuss and explore aspects of gender identity and sexual orientation in a safe space.
- The LGBTQ+ Experience – a student-run organization which uses its platform to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ students on campus through advocacy, activism, and education.
- The Pride Resource Room – provides safe, social space, open to all students with an open and inclusive view of a/sexuality and a/gender diversity. The PRR is location on the third floor of the Andrew White Student Center.
- Spectrum – an all-inclusive group for LGBTQ+ students and their allies, offering social gatherings and outreach services and programming throughout the academic year.
- Student Health Services – Loyola’s student health center, which supports the education and development of students by promoting their optimal health and well-being. They provide evidenced-based care of acute illness/injuries and to provide both active health promotion and disease prevention services for students.
- Office Title IX Bias & Compliance - supports LGBTQ+ students who have experience sexual violence, sexual harassment, and/or additional gender-based misconduct while connecting students to additional on and off campus resources.
