Leadership Team

Staff Council has the following standing committees that all full-time and permanent part-time staff of the university are welcome to join.

Marketing & Communication Committee

Maintain open communication with the Loyola community, create and distribute the newsletter, maintain the website, integrate marketing, visions and strategies to advertise for all Staff Council events.

Community Building & Event Planning Committee

Communicate and plan community building events and activities throughout the year such as happy hour, holiday socials, bingo, etc.

Representation

Advocate for equal opportunities for all departments, divisions and sectors of staff life at Loyola, maintain a list of governance and other committees on campus with staff representation, notify newly elected officers and committee representatives of their responsibilities.

Administrative Committee (Planning & Professional Development)

Create and plan professional development events and opportunities for staff, partner with campus departments to share resources, arrange speakers for meetings, support and assist with elections.

Please see the 2024-2025 Staff Council Committees PDF for the full list of committees. The Staff Council representatives for these roles and committees will be voted on April 17, 2024.

Any staff member may nominate themself, or nominate another staff member. It is very important to have staff representation because the staff has a vote in decisions being made for certain committees.
