Milton Javier Bravo began as Loyola's vice president of mission and identity in July 2023. Prior to joining Loyola, Dr. Bravo served as vice president for mission, values, and inclusion at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. He brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education, having served roles in mission integration, student life, student services, research, teaching, and enrollment management. He earned a B.A. in Theology and Philosophy from Saint Peter's University, an M.A. in Theology with a concentration in Biblical Studies from Seton Hall University, and a Ph.D., in Education, Religion, and Religious Education from Fordham University. He serves on the boards of the College Theology Society, Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States, and the Hope Border Institute.

Father Timothy Brown, S.J. is an Associate Professor of Law and Social Responsibility and Assistant to the President for Mission Integration. In his role as Assistant to the President for Mission Integration, Fr. Brown develops numerous mission-focused programs to promote the Catholic and Jesuit nature of the University, including offering the Spiritual Exercises. Fr. Brown first came to Loyola in 1987 and has served as a faculty member in the Sellinger School of Business and Management where he currently teaches classes in Legal Environment of Business; Messina Criminal Law; Race and the Law; and Speech Writing and Delivery. Other classes include Sports Law; Constitutional Law; Ignatian Spirituality and the Law; and First Amendment in the age of Trump. Honors for his teaching include the Sellinger School Overall Outstanding Faculty award, the Harry W. Rodgers Distinguished Teacher of the Year award, and the Educator for Life award.
In 2023, Fr. Brown founded The Rev. Timothy Brown, S.J. Ignatian Life Center as the organizational locus for the promotion of the Jesuit and Ignatian spiritual tradition at Loyola University Maryland and is in service to the Baltimore community. A former provincial for the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus, Fr. Brown earned his B.S. from Georgetown, M.A. from Fordham, M.Div. from the Weston School of University, and his J.D. from George Mason University. He serves on the Archdiocese of Baltimore School Board and the board for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Baltimore.

Mary Sue Callan-Farley is the Director of the Center for Community, Service, and Justice. She is relatively new to Baltimore and appreciates its vibrancy and commitment to social change. She has lived in Chicago, New York City, Jersey City, and Milwaukee as well as more pastoral settings of Massachusetts and Vermont. Mary Sue studied Economics and French at University of Notre Dame and Theology, with an emphasis on Liberation Theology, at Maryknoll School of Theology. She has worked at private and Catholic universities including 23 years in Jesuit Higher Education, as director of campus ministry with responsibilities including interfaith dialogue, social justice, and service programming. Mary Sue is committed to support students as they live out the mission of CCSJ with members of the diverse university community and Baltimore partners. She understands service for the common good as a generative justice building and peace making.

Emily is excited to served as the Director of Campus Ministry at Loyola. Emily graduated from Loyola in 2014 with a B.A. in Psychology and Gender Studies. As a student, Emily discovered the Jesuits for the first time, which ignited her passion for Ignatian spirituality and Jesuit education. After graduation, she served as a year-long volunteer with Rostro de Cristo in Durán, Ecuador, where she worked at a care facility for people with Hansen’s disease (formerly known as leprosy), and at an after-school program for neighborhood youth. Emily also spent a year at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia as a Campus Ministry Associate, working with social justice initiatives (and dealing with “Pope-mania”). Most recently, she completed her Master’s in Social Justice through the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago, where she also served as a graduate assistant in Campus Ministry. Before becoming Director of Campus Ministry, Emily served as Associate Director for Social Justice Ministry. Emily enjoys traveling to new places, practicing her Spanish, doing yoga, and quoting The Office and Parks and Rec whenever possible.

Gia Grier McGinnis, DrPH. is the Executive Director of Loyola’s Center for Community, Service, and Justice (CCSJ) and the York Road Initiative. She brings over 18 years of experience in civic engagement, program management, and community partnerships. She previously served as the Executive Director of the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s CURE Scholars Program. Prior to that experience, she served in progressive leadership roles at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Social Concern. Dr. Grier McGinnis holds a DrPH from Morgan State University, an M.S. in Natural Resources & Environment from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Certificate in Risk Sciences and Public Policy from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Washington College. She is active in civic life in the region, serving on the boards and board committees of the National Alliance to End Mental Illness, Maryland, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and the HASI Foundation. A Baltimore native, she is committed to strengthening Loyola’s role as an anchor institution through collaboration with students, faculty, and community partners. In her free time, she enjoys hiking on trails in the DMV area and volunteering with environmental and health-related organizations.
