Biography
Joshua Smith earned his Doctorate in Educational Psychology and Methodology in 2002 at the University at Albany, State University of New York. He was Dean of the School of Education at Loyola University Maryland from 2012-2021 and is now Professor in the Educational Leadership program. Josh recently spent two years serving as Visiting Professor at National Chengchi University in Taiwan teaching courses in international higher education and design thinking. His research examines educational transitions including the transition from middle school to high school and the transition from high school to college. He partners with schools and community-based organizations to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs to improve student engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Research Interests
Research interests include educational psychology, statistics and methodology.
