Alumni Speaker Series
Loyola graduate Joelle Hernandez, ’14, will be this year's alumni speaker during Mission Week on Tuesday, March 22, at 6 p.m., in the 4th Floor Program Room of the Andrew White Student Center.
Hernandez serves as a senior business development manager for Mediaplanet Publishing Inc., where she leads a team in publishing national advocacy and awareness campaigns online and in newspapers. Her work does not stop at the end of the work day, as Hernandez serves in multiple leadership positions for a variety of organizations as well as the co-owner of J&J Enterprises LLC. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Loyola and served as a young alumni representative on the Board of Trustees from 2014 through 2016.
About the Speaker Series
Each year at homecoming, the Green & Grey Alumni Speakers Series will invite alumni who were members of Loyola’s Green & Grey Society to speak on campus. This year's speaker series is a bit different because we are physically apart, but the significance of the event endures. As undergraduates, this group represented a cross-section of undergraduate communities and leadership paths at the University. As alumni, Green & Grey graduates have pursued a wide range of fields and have made indelible marks in their fields. From professors to artists, to politicians to musicians, business tycoons to leaders in medicine and law, these Loyola graduates have forged paths in virtually every arena. The seeds planted during those undergraduate years continue to flourish and nurture their influence on a diverse and changing world. As alumni of influence who embody our University motto, “Strong Truths Well Lived,” these graduates demonstrate the impact of a Loyola education.
