What the program provides

asdThe Sellinger Scholars Program provides an exceptional business education in Loyola’s Jesuit, liberal arts tradition for academically talented students who have demonstrated leadership abilities. The program offers an academically rigorous path in the disciplines and majors offered by the nationally ranked and internationally accredited Sellinger School of Business and Management, taught by dedicated faculty-scholars in each field.

Required courses include targeted career development training. The program affords students the opportunity to engage with high profile business executives in the Baltimore community and beyond. Sellinger Scholars also gain access to a built-in network of Scholar alumni, business professionals, and leaders in sectors around the country and the globe.

Benefits of the Sellinger Scholars Program

  • Early preparation for internship searches, including résumé and cover letter development, LinkedIn/Handshake profile development, and professional communication and work habit skill building
  • Peer-to-peer mentoring for first-year students and sophomores, with students paired with Sellinger Scholar alumni in their sophomore year

  • Students may pursue other honors programs at Loyola, including Hyman Science Scholars, Ignatius Scholars Program, Loyola’s Honors Program, or the forthcoming McAuley Scholars Program 
  • Study abroad is encouraged
  • Flexibility to accommodate for Loyola’s accelerated 3+1 program in accounting (MAcc) or accelerated 4+1 Emerging Leaders MBA, where students can take courses in their senior year towards a graduate business degree
