Implementation Team

In April 2024, President Terrence M. Sawyer, J.D., announced the formation of an implementation team to review the recommendations of the task force and develop a formal project plan. The president charged the team with carrying out the work with a commitment to justice, the search for truth, and reconciliation as we move forward to live out our mission as a Jesuit, Catholic university.

The implementation team members are:

  • Tiffany “TK” Kinnard, dean of students 
  • Jennifer Kinniff, head of archives and special collections 
  • Kristen McGuire, associate vice president of marketing and communications & chief marketing officer 
  • Mary Mazzuca, assistant vice president for advancement 
  • Lynn Nehemiah, member of the Georgetown University 272 (GU272) Descendant Community 
  • April Newton, assistant teaching professor in multimedia and Messina faculty co-director 
  • Oghenetoja Okoh, Ph.D., assistant professor of history 
  • Rodney Parker, Ph.D., chief equity and inclusion officer 
  • Madison Payne, ’26 
  • Mélisande Short-Colomb, member of the GU272 Descendant Community 
  • Karsonya Wise Whitehead, Ph.D., founding executive director of the Karson Institute for Race, Peace & Social Justice and professor of communication and African and African American Studies
