Biography

Dr. Kelly Keane, Director of Loyola University's Learning Design and Technology Program, brings over two decades of expertise in educational technology, instructional design, and teaching excellence. Her career spans roles as a classroom teacher in award-winning elementary schools, a lecturer at Towson University, and an Assistant Manager for the Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) Grant.

At Loyola, Dr. Keane pioneers innovative approaches to education, integrating current technologies with pedagogical best practices. Her expertise covers designing, developing, and evaluating online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction. She remains at the forefront of educational technology trends, particularly in artificial intelligence and interactive learning platforms.

Dr. Keane's strong interpersonal skills and deep knowledge of learning pedagogies enable her to engage learners effectively and she regularly leads impactful professional learning for educators. Her philosophy centers on fostering a growth mindset, emphasizing continual improvement and curiosity as cornerstones of successful teaching and learning.
