The online Credit for Prior Learning Pathway to the M.Ed. in Montessori Education at Loyola University Maryland offers a streamlined route to your graduate degree by allowing you to apply 15 credits from your diploma earned at a MACTE-accredited training program toward the degree requirements. This reduces the total credits you need to complete to just 18, which can be finished in 12–18 months. Designed to build on your prior Montessori education, this pathway offers a flexible and rigorous learning experience that enhances your skills and leadership in the field.

Students participate in an engaging global learning community through an 8-week online asynchronous format, with courses offered during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. The flexible design accommodates professional and personal commitments, while weekly forums and assignments encourage collaboration and hands-on learning. Each course culminates in a project that allows students to directly apply Montessori principles to their work.
