Loyola University Maryland was named to the 2024-25 list of “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes, placing at No. 310 on the list of 500 colleges. The annual list showcases 500 schools that produce successful, high-earning, and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt.

In addition, Loyola was ranked No. 166 among private colleges—No. 2 among private colleges in Maryland—and No. 108 among schools in the Northeast.

“With a ranking methodology that evaluates overall return on investment, it’s no surprise that Loyola is again featured on Forbes’ prestigious list of top colleges,” said Eric Nichols, vice president for enrollment management. “Rooted in Jesuit ideals and the development of the whole person, the time-tested value of a Loyola education extends far beyond the classroom.”

Forbes considered a range of data to develop the rankings, giving most weight to alumni salaries as well as including student debt, graduation rates, leadership and entrepreneurial success, return on investment, retention rate, and academic success.
