Loyola receives reaffirmation of accreditation from Middle States ​

Loyola University Maryland received word from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education about the University’s recent self-study and March 2021 visit for accreditation.

Loyola University Maryland is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Loyola’s accreditation status is accreditation reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on June 24, 2021, was to reaffirm accreditation.

“I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to create the self-study and participate in the visit in March, including the Committee on Institutional Effectiveness and the working groups,” said Amanda M. Thomas, Ph.D., interim president of Loyola. “I am particularly grateful to our president emeritus, the Rev. Brian F. Linnane, S.J., for his leadership and oversight through the years and during this most recent accreditation event.”

Third-party comments are a means of providing information and evidence regarding an institution’s compliance with the Commission’s standards for accreditation, requirements of affiliation, and policies and procedures as part of a scheduled accreditation review.
