GradReports ranks Loyola No. 2 in Maryland for salary after graduation
Loyola University Maryland was ranked No. 2 for “Best College for Post-Grad Salary in Maryland” by GradReports, a product of Optimal—a leading higher education researcher and publisher. Optimal uses data to empower people to make better decisions about careers and education.
“Among the many metrics by which colleges can be ranked, the Department of Education data provides one of the most objective comparisons of outcomes,” said Jim Dickinson, Ph.D., ’01, assistant vice president for career services. “This recognition from GradReports based on standardized national numbers is new, powerful evidence of Loyola graduates’ financial success as they make important contributions across all sectors of the workforce.”
GradReports provides salary-based rankings at the associate, bachelor’s, and master’s levels, as well as across 70 campus-based degrees and 20 online programs. The No. 2 ranking for Loyola was for the bachelor’s degree level. To be considered for GradReports state rankings, schools must offer and provide data for at least eight bachelor's programs.
This ranking provides a Salary Score, a metric based on median alumni earnings in the year after graduating. Median earnings in the year after graduation and graduate count in each program are sourced from the U.S. Department of Education. GradReports leveraged the reported salary data of over 4.6 million college graduates to determine Salary Scores for 2,200+ colleges and 334 majors.
More than half of eligible Maryland universities had higher Salary Scores than the median for U.S. colleges and universities. You can see the full list here.
