Reporting Resources

Loyola University Maryland encourages all individuals to report any instance of sexual assault, misconduct or harassment. Reports can be filed by using any of the resources below. Loyola will take steps to investigate, eliminate and remediate any form of discrimination or harassment.

As a reminder, any University administrator, staff with supervisory responsibilities, faculty member, campus police officer, athletic coach, athletic trainer, graduate resident coordinator, or resident assistant who are made aware of an allegation of gender-based discrimination or harassment are expected to report the incident to the Title IX Coordinator and/or Deputy Coordinators. Certain employees who are serving in a privileged professional capacity (e.g., mental health counselors, Loyola's confidential advocate, nurses and doctors, or clergy acting in a spiritual capacity) are not bound by this expectation, except as required by law.

Reports related to sexual and gender-based misconduct, submitted through the reporting option below, does not constitute a formal complaint under the Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy

Important Title IX Updates

New regulations from the United States Department of Education were scheduled to go into effect on August 1, 2024, after the final Title IX rule was released on April 19, 2024. Since then, the University has been monitoring pending litigation and updated guidance related to the regulations. The University will make the necessary adjustments to the policy or the process applied to comply with the most recent government laws, regulations, or court holdings. Until the injunction(s) are resolved, or additional guidance is released, we will apply the University's Sexual and Gender-Based Misconduct Policy for incidents that fall under the 2020 Title IX regulation jurisdiction, and we will apply the Sex-based Harassment and Discrimination policy for incidents that do not fall under the 2020 Title IX jurisdiction but do fall under the Sex-based Harassment and Discrimination policy. The Office of Title IX and Bias Compliance will provide updates as they become available. Applicable policies can be found on the Title IX Policy page. For questions, please contact titleix@loyola.edu.
