Meet the Staff

Sydney serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Students. A native Marylander, Sydney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roanoke College and her Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law, Delaware Law School.

Prior to working at Loyola University Maryland, Sydney spent over 7 years advocating for persons involved with domestic violence and intimate partner violence.  Most recently, she spent a year working for a state agency, where she helped implement policies to address and prevent sexual and gender-based misconduct. 

Sydney’s efforts are supported by her passion for encouraging healthy, safe, and respectful relationships and anchored in her trauma-informed frameworks of antidiscrimination, strength and resiliency building, and restorative justice practices. Sydney is dedicated to supporting students and fostering an environment free from sexual and gender-based violence and discrimination.

David serves as the Title IX Coordinator and the ADA/504 Coordinator. Previously, David has held roles at 2 and 4-year private and public institutions in Title IX, student conduct, and residence life. David received his Bachelor of Arts from Frostburg State University and Master of Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

David has over 10 years of experience working within preventing and addressing sexual and gender-based misconduct including serving as an advisor, investigator, hearing panel chair and member, and a Title IX Coordinator  and Deputy. David is also experienced as a restorative justice facilitator and infuses its philosophies into his work. David is passionate about preventing and addressing sexual and gender-based misconduct because he has seen the significant harm it causes individuals and communities. David believes in treating everyone with dignity and respect and utilizes trauma-informed practices to help guide individuals through their options and resources.

Kelli Walker she/her/hers Program Assistant
Kelli joined the Loyola Title IX Team in 2021 as the Program Assistant of Title IX and Bias Compliance. Originally from Baltimore, she received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Baltimore. In her position, Kelli hopes to offer support, holding space for all members of the campus community. Kelli is passionate about helping others and fostering progress.
