Overview of major

An economics degree provides students with a versatile, powerful set of analytic tools for studying the social sciences. The general concentration is appropriate for students who intend to enter professional programs (i.e., law or public policy) or pursue careers as managers or economic analysts in government or business. The quantitative economics concentration is appropriate for students who plan on pursuing master’s or doctoral work in economics and preparing for careers in research and/or teaching.
