Dr. Rob Gilbert is a licensed school counselor and licensed professional counselor with 20 years of experience in K-12 education. Notable accomplishments in his K-12 practice include collaborating to develop standardized suicide prevention protocols, implementing evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs at a Tier 1 level, and providing data-driven college and career advising. His current research interests are informed by the evolving needs of the profession. Recently, he has collaborated on articles related to school counselor supervision and mental health literacy. He is currently pursuing research focused on school counselors' work with students with disabilities, particularly in relation to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and ensuring equitable access to services.
