Information for Faculty Applicants
Loyola University Maryland seeks a diverse faculty of excellent teachers, productive scholars, and clinicians who are committed to the mission of the University.
At an appropriate stage in the search process, applicants for faculty positions are asked to review the material related to our Jesuit mission and core values and write a brief essay addressing the ways they could contribute to this mission. Applicants are free to structure their essays as they deem appropriate. The mission essay invites you to reflect on how you anticipate participating in Loyola's mission.
Please reach out to your search chair should you have any follow up questions.
You should pick at least one of the two prompts below:
(1) How Loyola's Core Values or Jesuit mission can inform and/or support your teaching, research, and scholarship.
(2) How you envision contributing to the Jesuit educational mission, university-wide or in your discipline, on campus.
