Becoming Bulletproof: Movie Screening

Wednesday, October 26th 2022, 7pm
McGuire East

Becoming Bulletproof is a documentary about a group of individuals with disabilities who work alongside able-bodied individuals to produce a Western. The microcosm captured in this film envisions a world where those with able bodies and disabilities work side by side in understanding. A.J. Murray, a man with cerebral palsy, very clearly illustrates for the audience the contrast of living in the world and living in this microcosm for a small while. In the world, he feels useless; as an actor in this company, he is valued, productive, and happy. A.J. notes what we all have in common—a desire for dignity and worth.

The evening is a movie event, complete with popcorn and candy, followed by some conversation.
