The environmental studies minor was created and developed by faculty from a variety of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, communication, economics, engineering, fine arts, history, law and social responsibility, philosophy, theology, and writing. Like many other minors at Loyola, environmental studies takes an interdisciplinary approach to pedagogy, integrating topics from multiple academic departments. Sustainability, and topics around the environment, also speak to the Loyola’s Jesuit mission.
