Biohealth Students attend Bio Innovation Conference

On October 10th Professor Michael Tangrea brought a group of 12 Biohealth majors to the Maryland Tech Council’s annual Bio Innovation Conference in Bethesda, Maryland. Loyola’s attendees were able to hear from experts in the field of biotechnology and biopharma, make connections through networking activities and speak with companies about potential internships.

Professor Tangrea organized a group meeting with Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council for students to have direct discussions about internships and career issues. Prior to leading the Maryland Tech Council, Ms. Schulz was Maryland Secretary of Commerce and Maryland Secretary of Labor.

Entry and travel to the conference was provided by the Loyola Biology Department and free to students.
