Focus Focus, a career and educational planning system, consists of the following self exploration assessments: current career planning status, interests and work values, education and training, personality and life values, leisure time preferences, and current or future skills. Strong Interest Inventory (SII) The SII is based on the idea that individuals are more satisfied and productive when they work in jobs that they find interesting and when they work with people who have similar interests. The SII takes about 25 minutes to complete and contains 317 items that measure your interests in a wide range of occupations, occupational activities, hobbies, leisure activities and types of people. Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) One of the most popular personality assessments, this tool helps you realize your individual personality type and can help point you in some possible career directions. Career Leader (Graduate Business only) Provies business career self-assessments that assist individuals in clarifying possible career path matches within the business field. Career Leader helps individuals assess their unique interests, values, and abilities relevant to the business setting. Career Beam (Graduate Business only) Career Beam, offered through the Business School, contains career-related resources, such as job search strategies, and resume and cover letter writing tips. This on-line resource provides individuals with the means to research company and industry information, job leads, and international databases.
