The Center for Closely Held Firms will host a seminar on Wednesday, May 13 at the Graduate Center in Timonium on, “President Obama’s Stimulus Package and SMEs: Impact of Stimulus on Small and Medium Size Enterprises.” This seminar is organized to assess and comment on where we are and how the stimulus package making the rounds of Washington will affect small and medium size businesses. “The economy seems to be mending itself slowly but small businesses have yet to see much change in their fortunes,” said the Center’s Director, Harsha Desai. To shed light on recent changes in Federal and State tax laws and their impact in regards to the stimulus package on small and mid-sized businesses, the Center has invited two consultants, Angelo Poletis and Bev Richard, from the SC&H Group. In addition, David Iannucci, Executive Director of the Baltimore County Economic Development Office, will discuss the subject as it affects regional businesses. The Center for Closely Held Firms at the Sellinger School of Business and Management hosts a seminar the second Wednesday of each month. To register for this event, please contact Audra Brown at anbrown@loyola.edu. The workshop is free to members and sponsors of the Center and their guests, students and faculty of Loyola College, and for first time non-member participants.
