ADMISSION

Management/ International Business

The Department of Management and International Business serves Loyola's mission -- to lead and serve in a global, changing world -- with faculty, courses and curricula that provide students with a marketable and meaningful Jesuit business education. The basic philosophy of the department is to teach students to use leadership and management skills to create wealth and social justice consistent with Jesuit values and traditions. Experienced faculty deliver current, relevant business knowledge and skills in leadership and management for a competitive global economy. Elective courses in human resource management, entrepreneurship, and global strategy complement business core courses in organizational behavior, international business and business strategy, supporting popular concentrations in management, international business, and general business.

Department faculty sponsor internships, independent study, research seminars, and foreign study trips to South America and Europe that extend the traditional classroom experience and supports the school's experiential requirements. The department offers two of the five major courses for the Sellinger Scholars program, BH201 and BH402. And finally, the department offers or supports the entrepreneurship, international business and business minors for students not majoring in business.

Find any of the department faculty on the fourth floor of Sellinger Hall on the main campus in Baltimore, including department chair Christy DeVader (SH 409) and department administrative assistant Mary Ciamarra (SH 418). Department faculty also teach and meet students at the Timonium and Columbia campuses.

For more information, please call Mary Ciamarra at 410-617-2691 or 800-221-9107 (Ext. 2691) or mail her Mciamarra@loyola.edu .
