Gain a better understanding of the business context in Europe and the impact that globalization is having through a combination of city visits, site/company visits** and cultural immersion experiences.

See first-hand how Holland’s famous flower industry (at Aalsmeer Flower Market) and beer industry (at Heineken Experience) manage the flow of their goods globally through Europe’s largest logistical and industrial port systems (at Port of Rotterdam).

Better understand how governments and political institutions (at EU-Parliament) and businesses (at DHL International) interact to cope with globalization.
Hear how different industries (at selected businesses) are responding to the changes occurring in the European Community.

Learn about what businesses seeking to do business with US companies really require of US partners (at US Embassy-Copenhagen).

     

  • Tuition (but not tour cost of $4,675) for this course is included in your spring 2009 Tuition.
  • Participants will be required to attend five pre-trip classes, complete several pre-and on-trip assignments, and take part in all visits and activities.

To sign up, register for one of the above courses through normal spring 2009 registration; a waiting list will be created if course fills up.  A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due by November 19, 2008, and the balance of $4,175 is due by January 16, 2009.
