Checking email from off campus via Outlook Web Access.
You can access your Outlook email and calendar through Inside Loyola.

Communicating with different constituents (for example, sending a mass e-mail to all incoming students)
Contact the OTS to find out if the distribution list you need to communicate to already exists and who the owner of the list is.  You will need to contact the list owner in order to get permission and submit your message to the list.  If the list does not exist, you can place a request for the creation of the list if you meet the criteria.

Sending a mass-emailer
Publicaster is the system used for bulk e-mail distributions beyond internal communications.

Accessing Publicaster
If you need to send mass emails to an external audience (non-loyola.edu email addresses) you must use a 3rd party tool to ensure that the emails are not seen as spam and that Loyola.edu does not get designated as a spammer.  Loyola uses a tool called Publicaster and the Office of Marketing and Communications oversees it.  If you need to send an email to a large external audience please contact Kimberly Hall at ext. 5025 for assistance.

Finding E-Mail that may have accidentally been marked as spam.
Log in to M+ using your complete email address (username@loyola.edu). There will be a list of all mail that is blocked due to suspicious content or a virus attached.  Or, simply open any Administrator email from your inbox whose subject is M+ Guardian Quarantine.

How do I access e-mail from my Mac?
Entourage is the program that will be installed on your computer instead of Outlook. Entourage is Microsoft’s e-mail client for the Mac. It is part of the Office 2008 Suite. If you have a Mac and do not appear to have Entourage installed, call the OTS and request that it be installed.

Microsoft has a Web site with tips and tricks, as well as training for Entourage.
