NEW! Morgan Stanley Presentation - Tuesday, October 14
Morgan Stanley's Operations division is looking for qualified candidates with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.   All majors are invited to attend and learn more about this global financial , Oct. 14.  Morgan Stanley will be conducting on-campus interviews at The Career Center on Tuesday, Oct. 28.  Students can register for this presentation using Hounds4Hire or contacting The Career Center by e-mail or at ext. 2232.


U.S. Border Patrol Presentation Oct. 15
There are more than 8,000 miles of United State borders. Without Border Patrol agents, they would have little meaning. They're the ones that keep the border secure. From terrorists. WMDs. Drugs. Criminals. Illegal entrants. Without them, anyone and anything could slip across at anytime. Meet with the representatives of this governmental agency and learn more about the Border Patrol Agent position and the application/interviewing process. This presentation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. in Sellinger Hall, Room 104. NEW! Lancaster, Pa. Band Negative Space to Visit WLOY Oct. 15
The Lancaster, PA-based band Negative Space will visit WLOY on Wednesday, Oct. 15. You can catch their live in-studio interview and performance on Rich the DJ’s show from 7-9 p.m.  The band’s new album, Storylines, is available now, and they are playing a show Oct. 17 at Fletchers in Baltimore. NEW! 2009 Humanities Symposium poster design deadline Oct. 23
Students are invited to submit art for a chance to be selected for the 2009 Humanities Symposium poster, postcard and concert program cover. Designs should be tied to this year's text, Michael Pollan's The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, and the theme  "Communing with Food." Submissions are due Thursday, Oct. 23. Artwork will be reviewed and selections made by Wednesday, Oct. 29. For more information, see the specifications at the Symposium's Web page, as well as the Center for the Humanities page. Study Abroad Registration Advising Session for Class of 2011
The Office of international Programs will be having Study Abroad Registration Advising Sessions for the Class of 2011 on Monday, Oct. 13 in College Conference Center Room 105 and on Tuesday, Oct. 14 in College Conference Center Room 113. At theses sessions the program directors will meet directly with students to answer any questions regarding plans to study abroad prior to selecting courses for next semester. Students may drop by anytime between 2 - 4 p.m.


Karaoke Night Oct. 10
Join us Friday, Oct. 10 from 9 p.m. - midnight for fun, friends and free food in the Reading Room located in the Student Center. There will be pumpkins, crafts, Autumn-themed food and awesome music. We hope to see you there!

The Office of Financial Aid in partnership with the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) is pleased to announce the availability of CashCourse. Spring 2009 undergraduate courses can now be viewed on WebAdvisor, Search for Sections, at http://www.loyola.edu/webadvisor/. Schedule changes are incorporated in this web view. To view the course schedule book online, visit the Records office Web site. Find Course Schedules and click on the appropriate link. Once you are viewing the schedule, to see the latest course changes for a department (except faculty changes), double-click on the yellow Post-It icon located to the left of the department’s header box. These updates are NOT incorporated into the view of the book. The actual schedule books will be available to you approximately Oct. 10. All undergraduate full-time students: Registration information will be emailed to you approximately one week prior to your registration day. Direct your questions to the Records Office, ext. 2263.


Science Seminar Oct. 10
Jason M. D'Antonio, Post-Doc at Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, will present "A potential role of testosterone action in DNA replication in prostate cancer cells" on Friday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. in Knott Hall B01. The Reality Behind the Policies" Immigration Panel Oct. 15
Loyola College's Association for Latin American and Spanish Students (ALAS) and ALANA Services along with
the Student Government Association (SGA) are presenting an immigration panel, "The Reality Behind the Policies"  as the closing event for Latino Heritage Month. The panel will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in the 4th Floor Program Room.

The panel will consist of a faculty member from Loyola, a student immigrant, a 2nd generation student, an immigrant from the Baltimore community, and a representative from CASA de Maryland.
