Faculty: Copying, Printing, Scanning


I'm Faculty/Staff. Do I have to pay for printing?
No. Faculty and staff of Loyola or Notre Dame, or students assisting them, can fill out a brief form to print or copy using a library account. Please inquire at the Reference desk.

Does the library have a scanner available?
Yes - there's a scanner downstairs in the Digital Lab, and generally someone is available to help with scanning at the Digital Lab desk. For large scanning projects, e.g. for electronic reserves, contact Linda Tanton at 410-617-6802 (reserves) or Danielle Whren-Johnson at 410-617-6872 (other digitization projects).

When I try to print a PDF file, all I get is a blank page. What's wrong?
Make sure you use the print command or icon from the PDF frame surrounding the document - not the print command or Icon from the browser (top) window. If problems continue, see Reference.

Does the library have a copying center for special orders?
No. Loyola/Notre Dame Library does not do special orders for faculty such as overheads, course packs, laminations, etc. Loyola faculty should contact the Loyola Copy Center, and Notre Dame faculty should consult with their departments.

Do you have a color printer/copier?
Yes. Printing or copying in color is 50 cents per page for students. Faculty please consult with Reference staff.
