Join Loyola University Maryland for the 2013 Lattanze Executive of the Year award presentation on Thursday, April 11, 2013, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Timonium Graduate Center. Hosted by the Lattanze Center at Loyola University Maryland, this year’s event honors Joseph D. "Jody" Giles, CIO of Under Armour.
Giles' presentation, "Learning How to Armour Your Innovation," will discuss the principles of leadership and innovation that Under Armour uses to fuel their dramatic growth and achieve their vision to “Make All Athletes Better.” Giles will offer examples of how a company founded on innovation continues to foster a culture of innovation, and specifically how information technology serves a critical role in the team. Under Armour powers teams to bring the trophy home, and innovation can power your organization. Giles will also discuss the advantages of Jesuit-based leadership principles in the business world.
Based in Baltimore, Under Armour is an extremely fast growing and dynamic success story that has its sights on changing the world for performance apparel and footwear. Giles became the company’s first CIO in January 2005. Since then, the company has grown dramatically, experienced a very successful IPO, implemented SAP in eight months, and is completely revamping its supply chain and product development systems.
The reception is complimentary but registration is required.
The event is sponsored by Loyola's Sellinger School of Business and Management in conjunction with Johnson Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT), McCormick and Co., System Source, Mind Over Machines, and GP Strategies.
