The Graduate Accounting Certificate Program builds on the undergraduate accounting curriculum to provide graduate-level competence in the more advanced aspects of the field while providing additional hours toward meeting the 150-credit-hour requirements of most state Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensing authorities. The program, which is applicable to those pursuing public accounting work in private or governmental organizations, was developed in consultation with key accounting employers and addresses four important areas of the current environment for accounting professionals.
The Accounting Certificate program is an accelerated, 11-week program held at our Timonium Graduate Center beginning in mid-May and ending in July. This program provides an opportunity for recent graduates or new accounting professionals to obtain 12 graduate-level credits toward the 150-hour requirement for CPA licensure Maryland counts these courses as 18 credits toward the 150-hour requirement. Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. at Loyola's Timonium Graduate Center.
