Rock climbing is a sport that challenges both the body and mind. The climbing wall offers climbing routes from beginner to advanced skill levels.

New to climbing?  Tired of standing in line for a belay?  Attend a belay class to learn about Loyola's wall, the sport of climbing, and to become belay certified.  Classes are offered throughout the semester.  Look for the interest list on the climbing wall's desk or contact the Outdoor Adventure Center.

The Ascent

Loyola's annual climbing competition returns on November 18, 2012.  All profits will benefit the Ark Preschool in Baltimore City.  Registration costs $25 and includes a free T-shirt while supplies last.  Early registration is welcome and day-of registration begins at 11:00 AM at the Fitness and Aquatic Center on November 18.  Climb on!

Fall & Spring Hours of Operation
Sunday–Thursday: 4-10 pm
Friday: 4-8 pm
Saturday: 1-7 pm

*Belaying by staff members is not offered during college breaks and holidays.  Be sure to plan ahead and bring a belay certified friend during these times.

Summer Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday: 4-8pm
Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
