Applying for Graduation

Application Dates

Full and part-time students graduating in the month/year listed below must submit an Application for Graduation to the Records Office (MH 141), as follows:

September 2013: May 30, 2013

January 2014: September 3, 2013

May 2014: September 20, 2013 (full-time students)

May 2014: January 13, 2014 (part-time students)

Part-time students must submit the $125 application fee with the application. Full-time students pay this fee along with their fall tuition. (Note: The application fee does not include the the cost of the cap and gown.)

Application Process

Students must submit an Application for Graduation in order to graduate and participate in May Commencement. The application form is available at the Records Office (MH 141), or call 410-617-2708 to have a form mailed to you. Students who file an application for a specific semester and do not complete the graduation requirement must submit a new application; however no additional fee is required.

Complete the application, as follows:

  1. Top Portion: Fill in the top portion of the form completely, supplying your ID and/or SS#; e-mail address; last name, first name, and middle initial; home address, city, state, and zip code; and a telelphone number where your can be reached.

  2. Diploma Information:

    -Important: In the first box, print your name exactly as you want it to appear on your diploma.

    -Important: In the second box, print your name exactly as you want it pronounced at Commencement.

    -Check the appropriate degree in the Anticipated Degree box.

    -Fill in your major, concentration, and minor information.

    -Fill in the correct Anticipated Degree Date: 05/13, 09/13, 01/14.

    -Check whether you will attend the Commencement Exercises and Baccalaureate Mass.

  3. Sign and date the form.

Cap and Gown

Students will receive graduation fair and cap/gown ordering information from the Ceremonies Office. (Reminder: The graduation application fee does not include the the cost of the cap and gown.)
