WebAdvisor Add/Drop User's Guide

General Usage Reminders

  • DO NOT use the Back button to change views.

  • Use the Menu option to navigate the site.

  • For assistance, call 410-617-2659 or 2263 (during regular business hours).

  • Check My Class Schedule (under WebAdvisor for Students > Registration) and Degree Audit (under WebAdvisor for Students > Academic Profile) to make certain that course/section changes have been properly filed and fulfill your degree requirements.

  • Click Log Out when you are finished.

Getting Started

  1. Go to inside.loyola.edu and login.

  2. Under WebAdvisor, click WebAdvisor for Students > Registration > Add/Drop for Undergraduates.

  3. Read and accept the Add/Drop Agreement. Direct questions concerning the agreement to the Academic Advising and Support Center, 410-617-5050.

  4. Choose an Option: Express Registration, Search and Register for Sections, or Drop Sections (see instructions for each option below).

Express Registration

Use this option if you know the exact subject, course number, and section number of the course and that the course is open, as follows:

  1. Enter the course(s) you want to add (see below) and click Submit.

  2. Register and Drop Sections: Choose the RG-Register action to add a course or click the drop box to drop a course, then click Submit.

  3. Verify that the courses have been added by checking that the course status reads Registered. If prerequisite or other restrictions prevent you from registering, and there are error messages, resolve them by removing them from your list or dropping courses until the issues are resolved. Click OK or links at the bottom to continue.

  4. Choose from the following:

    Click OK if the new schedule is correct and no changes are required. 

    Click Add/Drop for Undergraduates to add or drop additional courses.

    Click Degree Audit to access the degree audit evaluation screen. Click to the left of your active program in the Choose One column, then click Submit to review your revised Degree Audit.

  5. Click My Class Schedule to verify changes and print schedule for your records.

  6. Click Log Out when finished.

Search and Register for Sections

Use this option to browse for open courses, as follows:

  1. Term: Select a Term (required field) from the dropdown box.

  2. Narrow your search results by completing other fields as you wish, but at least one other search field is required. Click Submit.

  3. Status column shows the status (open or closed) of selected courses.

  4. Click the checkbox to the left of each course you want to add to your preferred list, then click Submit.

  5. Register and Drop Sections: Choose the RG-Register action to add and/or click in the Drop box to drop a course, then click Submit.

  6. Verify that the courses have been added by checking that the course status reads Registered.   7. Choose from the following:

  8. Click My Class Schedule to verify changes and print schedule for your records.

  9. Click Log Out when finished.

Drop Sections

Use this option to drop courses, as follows:

  1. Register and Drop Screen: Review your existing schedule, and click the checkbox to the left of the course you wish to drop, then click Submit.

  2. Registration Results: Review your revised schedule to verify that the class has been dropped, then choose from the following:

    Click OK if the new schedule is correct and no further changes are required.

    Click Add/Drop for Undergraduates to add or drop additional courses.

    Click Degree Audit to access the degree audit evaluation screen. Click to the left of your active program in the Choose One column, then click Submit to review your revised Degree Audit.

  3. Click My Class Schedule to verify changes and print schedule for your records.

  4. Click Log Out when finished.
