History

Located one hour from Edinburgh, three hours from Newcastle, and five hours from London by train, Glasgow is a port city on the River Clyde in Scotland's western Lowlands. Known for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture and centuries-old legacy of trade and shipbuilding, today Glasgow is a national cultural hub. Students study at the University of Glasgow, a public research university founded in 1451.
