As a faculty member, you are a key partner in helping to address alcohol and drug use at Loyola. You may come in contact with students whose attitudes or behaviors may cause you concern, discomfort, or interfere in their education or the education of other students. As a faculty member, interacting daily with students, you are in an excellent position to recognize behavior changes in a student. We encourage you to talk about the behaviors and attitudes that you are concerned about and refer them to the appropriate services on campus, including Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services.
Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services is located at Seton Court 02B and provides free, confidential counseling and education about alcohol and other drugs.
If you know a student who you believe may have an alcohol or drug problem, you can refer them to ADESS where they can check in about their alcohol and/or drug use. You can also contact us if you have questions about the behavior of someone who you suspect might have a problem.
