Department of Engineering Science


Welcome to the Department of Engineering Science at Loyola College in Maryland. The Engineering Science degree offers concentrations in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and materials engineering.  The Engineering Science degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), receiving initial accreditation in 1991. Graduates of Loyola's Engineering program have enjoyed 100% placement.

Program Educational Objectives

   The Department of Engineering Science of Loyola College in Maryland strives to produce graduates who

1.   function as successful professionals in a variety of engineering disciplines and enterprises;

2.   work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate leadership skills;

3.   demonstrate creativity in problem-solving;
