Analytical and Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry

Research Interests

I am interested in the sources and sinks of biogeochemical trace gases and the effect on atmospheric chemistry and climate.  This work involves the development of instrumentation as well as laboratory experiments and data collection in the field.

My current research focus is determining the loss rate of low molecular weight alkyl nitrates in seawater.  The oceans are the largest source of low molecular weight alkyl nitrates to the troposphere.  However, the sources and sinks of oceanic alkyl nitrates are unknown.

Courses Taught

Quantitative Analysis Lecture and Laboratory (CH 201)
