Congratulations to Carolyn Barry, Ph.D., who was awarded The Faculty Award for Excellence in Service-Learning and Engaged Scholarship at the 2011 Maryland Day celebration! The award was presented at the Deans’ Symposium, featuring presentations from faculty representing each of Loyola’s three schools. Carolyn has been a tireless champion of engaged scholarship and service-learning in our department and across the University and is very deserving of this prestigious recognition. |

Congratulations to Jeff Barnett, Ph.D., ABPP, who received the Division 42 Best of the Bulletin Award for his many articles that have been published in The Independent Practitioner. The award was bestowed by the Board of APA's Division 42, Psychologists in Independent Practice, who say of Dr. Barnett's ongoing contributions to the division bulletin, “As a continuing contributor to the IP, your articles illuminate ethical and practice issues that challenge and educate. You help practitioners at all levels focus on situations that improve practice, while making us sensitive to issues that broaden our capabilities to practice both effectively and carefully.” Dr. Barnett received the award at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in San Diego in August 2010. |
