Our Graduates Make a Difference.

Loyola offers two evening graduate programs in computing, namely Computer Science and Software Engineering. The Computer Science program offers in-depth, hands-on assimilation of technologies that facilitate computing - languages, databases, web techniques, operating systems, and the like. The Software Engineering program, also hands-on, focuses on technologies and processes which help to more effectively and efficiently specify, develop, and test software. See our discussion about the differences between the two programs.
Each program provides exploration of advanced technologies and techniques as well as thorough grounding in fundamentals. The courses are offered in the evening for the convenience of working professionals who complete the program on a part-time basis. Full-time enrollment is also possible. Courses are in person, at our Columbia and Timonium graduate centers, to maximize personal interaction between student and instructor. Instructors are drawn from our full-time research faculty as well as affiliates who are leaders in their respective technology ares.
Whether you're looking to retool your skills, gain new ones, begin or advance your career, Loyola can help you translate academic excellence into a long and successful career. For much more information, visit the Graduate Programs in Computing page.
