Loyolapalooza

Loyola's annual springtime festival is one of the most popular campus events of the year, and allows students a chance to unwind and rejuvenate just prior to final exams.

Thousands of students, their friends and siblings, faculty, staff, and other members of the community convene on the Quad each April to enjoy a carnival-like festival that includes rides and attractions such as sumo wrestling, face painting, an ultimate survivor obstacle course, a wrecking ball game and more.

The winner of Loyola's battle of the bands typically opens the stage for other big name acts, which in past years has included bands such as Augustana, Citizen Cope, and Jah Works.

The festival also includes an array of carnival-like food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cotton candy, popcorn, and sno-cones – all free to Loyola students.

For students who bring their younger siblings, or for employees who bring their children, there is a Kiddie Land with child-friendly attractions such as a Froggy Flying Fling carnival game, a moonbounce, Ring a Bat game, and Tip the Fat Cat.

Admission to Loyolapalooza is open to the public and free of charge.
