Actors from the American Shakespeare Center will visit Loyola University Maryland’s McManus Theatre to perform three plays in three nights beginning Wednesday, Sept. 28. Returning to Loyola for the 16th straight year, this innovative company performs fast-paced shows that recreate for modern audiences Shakespeare’s plays and other classics while remaining true to the original texts.

The full schedule is as follows:

Sept. 28: Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Sept. 29: John Ford’s ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore
Sept. 30: Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale

The shows begin at 7:00 p.m. in McManus Theatre and run about two hours with pre-show entertainment beginning at 6:30 p.m. All three performances are free and open to the public and no tickets are necessary.
