Loyola University Maryland will present “From Page to Screen: The Contexts and Purposes of Cinematic Adaptation,” the 25th Annual Hanna Geldrich-Leffman Colloquium on Language, Literature, and Society, on Monday, April 18. The event takes place in the 4th Floor Program Room on the University’s North Charles Street campus.
The presentations include:
11 a.m.: “From Stage to Screen: A Two-Way Street,” by Phyllis Zatlin, Ph.D., professor emerita of Spanish, Rutgers University
2 p.m.: "Essays and Essay Films," Timothy Corrigan, Ph.D., professor of English and cinema studies, University of Pennsylvania
3 p.m.: "Cinematic Adaptation: Challenges of the Cultural Complex," Gavriel Moses, Ph.D., associate professor of Italian studies and film studies, University of California, Berkeley
