The season premiere of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, an episode featuring Boys Hope Girls Hope Baltimore, airs Sunday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. Eastern time. The show chronicles the construction of a house for the young women of Boys Hope Girls Hope, a non-profit organization that provides children who are at risk with a stable home, positive parenting, high-quality education, and other supports needed to reach their full potential.
Loyola has awarded the eight young men of Boys Hope Girls Hope full, four-year scholarships including tuition, fees, room, and board. The boys’ nomination video requesting a house for their seven female counterparts led to the build.
In addition to Loyola’s scholarship offer, many students, alumni, faculty, and staff devoted many hours to the build as volunteers. The University will host a viewing party for the campus community on Sunday evening.
Baltimore ABC affiliate WMAR will air a pre-show special at 6 p.m. offering a closer look at Boys Hope Girls Hope Baltimore and the build. It features an interview with Loyola President Brian F. Linnane, S.J., and College of Notre Dame President Mary Pat Seurkamp, Ph.D.
